UGC-NET IN OBJECTIVE MODE FROM JUNE, 2012 ONWARDS

The UGC-NET will be conducted in objective mode from June 2012 onwards. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on the day of Examination in two separate sessions as under:

The syllabus of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III will remain the same.
4.
The candidates will be allowed to carry the carbon printout of OMR Response Sheets with them on conclusion of the examination.
5.
There will be no negative marking.

Nicholas James Vujicic (born 4 December 1982) is a preacher, a motivational speaker and the Dir ector of the non-profit organisation Life Without Limbs. Born without limbs due to the rare Tetra-amelia disorder, Vujicic had to live a life of difficulties and hardships throughout his childhood. However, he managed to get over these hardships and, at seventeen, started his own non-profit organization Life Without Limbs. After school, Vujicic attended university and graduated with a double major. From this point on, he began his travels as a motivational speaker and his life attracted more and more mass media coverage. At the present, he regularly gives speeches on subjects such as disability, hope, and finding meaning in life.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for admission to Symbiosis Undergraduate Degree programs
It is mandatory to complete registration by filling up the on line application form of the desired institute for the desired programme before the closing date of application of the respective institute.

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common written test for the admission processes of undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University established as under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide notification No.F.9.12/2001 U.3 of the Govt. of India. In the year 2002 there were 3 constituent institutes, subsequently ten more Institutes of Symbiosis have been brought under the ambit of Symbiosis International University vide notification No.F.9.12/2006-U.3 (A).

It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes of the following Symbiosis institutes. However SET is not mandatory for the Symbiosis instititute of Technology (SIT), Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) and Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA).

Note: Candidates those who are applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) and Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) should visit their website for further details.

SET is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.
  •     SET-2012 has 5 different papers namely General, Design, Law, Engineering and Health Sciences.
  •     The test will be conducted in two sessions, Morning and Afternoon.
  •     A Candidate may take more than one paper. However he may choose one paper from morning session and one paper from afternoon session.
